Anthony (aka “Tony”) Iaciofano leads the Personal Injury Department. Tony has nearly thirty years of trial experience, with dozens of jury trials under his belt. All our attorneys are seasoned litigators.  We pride ourselves on personal client attention and works hard at achieving the best monetary result for its injured clients.

A significant advantage we possesse in handling personal injury cases is the vast experience our lawyers possess in dealing with the insurance industry and insurance claims adjusters. Our lengthy firm history includes many years of representing insurance companies and their insureds, thus providing our lawyers with a unique perspective on what is important and vital in presenting their clients’ claims to responsible insurance companies.

Automobile, Trucking, and Motorcycle Accident Cases

Our attorneys regularly represent individuals injured in traffic accidents as a result of the negligence of persons operating their motor vehicles upon the roads of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Our lawyers have substantial experience in dealing with insurance carriers and claims adjusters as a result of years of handling such cases for the insurance industry.

Often when the at-fault party does not have enough insurance coverage or no insurance at all, our lawyers then present their clients’ claims directly to the clients’ own insurance carrier. This type of case is referred to as an “uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance claim”.

Many of the cases which we handle are resolved by settlement without the need for prolonged and expensive litigation. However, all our personal injury attorneys are well-versed in handling trials to the court or to a jury.

Unique Case Representation

Our attorneys also successfully represent injured claimants in a variety of unique cases that present substantial legal challenges. For example, in recent years, we represented the parents of a young girl who tragically died after eating a peanut-laced sub sandwich at a local restaurant. The teenage girl suffered from a serious peanut allergy. The restaurant made representations that its sandwiches did not contain peanut(s).  Our lawyers were successful, prior to trial, in convincing the defending parties to resolve the case for a substantial sum.

We have also successfully resolved claims involving injured parties in cases where retail establishments have over-served patrons alcohol, and these patrons then leave the establishment intoxicated, causing serious accidents. These types of claims are commonly referred to as “dram shop” cases.

In addition, our attorneys do not shy away from difficult challenges. We have successfully represented a seriously injured motorcyclist who was run off the highway by a tractor-trailer operator who left the scene of the accident. The firm, through its own investigation, was eventually able to identify and locate the likely corporate trucking entity whose driver was responsible for the accident, file suit against this corporation, conduct discovery, and successfully settle the case prior to trial for a significant sum.

These are just a few examples of difficult and unique cases which our lawyers are willing to pursue for their injured clients, where many law firms and lawyers would not be up to the challenge.

Medical Malpractice/Negligence

Under Ohio law, a person injured or killed as a result of the negligence of a physician or hospital employee must initiate such a claim within one year of the negligent act or within one year of the discovery of the negligent act. Such a medical malpractice case cannot be filed without an Affidavit of Merit by a qualified expert in the field of medicine to which the case relates.

Our lawyers handle such cases in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana on behalf of injured patients who have suffered pain and suffering and loss of enjoyment of life, as a result of a physician or hospital employee who has provided medical services that fall below the standard of care required by law.

If you believe a physician or hospital has mistreated, misdiagnosed, or failed to properly handle a medical situation on your behalf, and you have suffered damages as a result, contact one of our lawyers immediately.
