Betsy Moore Shines!

Betsy Moore, daughter of BYH Comptroller Donna Moore and her husband Bruce, was selected to receive theUniversity of Chicago's Outstanding Educator Award. Ms. Moore, a graduate of Xavier University, teaches Social Studies at Roger Bacon Highschool in Cincinnati. Described by her students as "energetic" and "amazing" Ms. Moore hopes to continue teaching a Roger Bacon for many years to come. Congratulations!

ASA Article by Tom & Pat

Tom Yocum and Pat O'Neill co-authored an article for the Construction Compass, the quarterly magazine published by the American Subcontractors Association. A featured in the March 2017 copy of Contractors Compass and titled "What Subcontractors Need to Know About Getting Paid on P3 Projects." A full copy of the article is published in BYH's Spring Newsletter, is accessible online at the link above and available as a hard copy through the firm.

New Networking Group

Led by BYH's Tony Iaciofano this new group includes members of the old Orange Network along with their friends and colleagues. The initial meeting took place April 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stone Creek Dining Company. The group intends to meet on a regular basis. ProCore Presentation

James L. Salmon, presented to general contractors and other built industry professionals at the Groundbreak Construction Conference hosted by Procore Construction Project Managment in Austin, Texas March 29 through 31. Focused on young professionals in the built industry James' presentation explored key elements of the ConsensusDocs contracts that enable modern delivery methods such as Design-Build, CM-at-Risk and Integrated-Project-Delivery.

Multifamily Housing Sustainability

What can the built industry do to encourage sustainability in multifamily housing complexes in the Cincinnati area? On Friday, February 17, 2017 Benjamin Yocum & Heather joined forces with Collaborative Construction and BrainBox, among others to discuss Managing Sustainability in Multifamily Units in Cincinnati.
